Satriwithaya School English Program Subject : Sc20203 Fundamental Physics Supplementary Course Class: Level M.3….. Total 4 Units Time: 34..periods/semester Teacher name: Assist. Prof. Dr. Surat Atthajariyakul 1st semester /2017 ______________________________________________________________________ Course Description This course will analytically study basic knowledge in physics: quantity, vector, and trigonometry. Student will study straight line motion: speed, velocity and acceleration, formula for motion with constant acceleration. Student can analyses and discuss the concept of force, type of force, Newton’s law of motion and Newton’s law of gravitation. Student study through scientific procedures: data mining exploration, observation, investigation and discussion, demonstration with ability to think, understand, communicate and make decision concerning application of knowledge in everyday life with scientific mind, ethic, moral, desired values. Expected Learning Outcome 1. 2. 3. 4. To identify the scalar and vector quantity. To convert SI unit and to determine resultance vector. To study basic trigonometry To study and identity types of motion: straight line, projectile, circular and harmonic motion. 5. To study and understand distance, displacement, speed and velocity 6. To study and understand acceleration. 7. To study and understand formula for motion with constant acceleration. 8. To explain the effect of force on an object. 9. To determine different movements of objects and to explain the effect of force on an object. 10. To determine vector and scalar and its effect on direction of movement of an object. 11. To determine friction, momentum and their use. 12. To study and understand motion law of Newton’s. 13. To study and understand Newton’s law of gravitation. Learning Procedure: 1. Use technique of asking student and explaining to students. 2. Let students to ask, answer and participate. 3. Let students practice the problem in class and do homework.
