The distributional impact of climate change on rich and poor countries
The distributional impact of climate change on rich and poor countries

... Sohngen et al., 2002). It is assumed that carbon fertilization benefits increase with the log of CO2 and are the same in both models. In a complete general equilibrium model, global warming could change the supply and demand of all goods and services, leading to new global prices for everything. In p ...

... biosphere is currently a net carbon sink, human activities emit twice the amount of greenhouse gases than vegetation, soils, and the oceans can naturally absorb. That is the fundamental imbalance that causes climate change. Climate change warmed global temperatures 0.7 ± 0.2ºC from 1906 to 2005 (IPC ...

... Now given the importance of oceans to the climate system, and for taxonomic, for biodiversity, for producing oxygen, for holding heat, it was not even 10 years ago that the standard model for measuring climate change failed to include the oceans. To me that’s amazing. While I may say that the ocean ...

Instrumental temperature record

The instrumental temperature record shows fluctuations of the temperature of earth's climate system. Initially the instrumental temperature record only documented land and sea surface temperature, but in recent decades instruments have also begun recording ocean temperature. Data is collected from thousands of meteorological stations around the globe and through satellite observations. The longest-running temperature record is the Central England temperature data series, that starts in 1659. The longest-running quasi-global record starts in 1850.
