Vectors and axial vectors behave di®erently when we go from left to right-handed coordinate systems and hence the parity violation. This is the V{A form discovered by Sudarshan and ...

... 11) Process of Science: Why is String Theory not really a theory? Answer: Most of the predictions of string theory cannot be observed using current particle accelerators such as the Large Hadron Collider. Therefore it is more a hypothesis than a bona fide theory. 12) Process of Science: The "standa ...

The potential quark model in theory of resonances
The potential quark model in theory of resonances

... • The complex energy is an appropriate tool in the studying of resonances. • A resonance is supposed to take place at E and to have “half–value breath” Г/2 [2]. • The imaginary part Г was associated with the inverse of the lifetime Г = 1/τ. • Such ‘decaying states’ were the first application of quant ...

The new CDF results are consistent with earlier observation of large top asymmetries by both CDF and D0 based on smaller data sets [3–5], and moreover the significance of the disc ...

... For example, it would not make sense to ask, ”What is the classical limit of the rest mass energy?”. There was no answer in classical physics. However, classical and relativistic makes use of “kinetic energy” which is the energy associated with the motion of an object. If you toss a log into a pond, ...

Future Circular Collider

Future Circular Collider (FCC) is an integral conceptual design study for post-LHC particle accelerator options based on a new 80–100-km-circumference tunnel infrastructure. The collaboration is open to scientific institutes and companies of any size from all nations. At the moment there are 57 institutes from 22 nations. The Future Circular Collider study has an emphasis on proton-proton and electron-positron (lepton) high-energy frontier machines. It is exploring the potential of hadron and lepton circular colliders, performing an in-depth analysis of infrastructure and operation concepts and considering the technology research and development programs that would be required to build a future circular collider. A conceptual design report will be delivered before the end of 2018, in time for the next update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics.
