... In this lab we will be designing a single transistor fixed frequency oscillator at 470 MHz. We will use an approach known as negative-resistance oscillator (NRO) method. Please refer to the lecture slides of ME1000 for detailed theoretical treatment on this subject. Here we will split the transistor ...

... a. The frequency at which the voltage across the capacitor is the same magnitude as the voltage across the in-series resistor is the cross-over or break or ½ power frequency. That is an important frequency measurement for filters. The RC (Resistor Capacitor) circuit just tested is known as a high-pa ...

Say we use 0.2Ω instead, then ∆I = 0.48A max relative to 5.83 AP which is more acceptable. One must realize that a severe current imbalance will result in different powe ...

Radio transmitter design

A radio transmitter is an electronic device which, when connected to an antenna, produces an electromagnetic signal such as in radio and television broadcasting, two way communications or radar. Heating devices, such as a microwave oven, although of similar design, are not usually called transmitters, in that they use the electromagnetic energy locally rather than transmitting it to another location.
