CIRCUIT FUNCTION AND BENEFITS
CIRCUIT FUNCTION AND BENEFITS

... Since the AD7190 provides an integrated solution for weigh scales, it interfaces directly to the load cell. The only external components required are some filters on the analog inputs and capacitors on the reference pins for EMC purposes. The low level signal from the load cell is amplified by the A ...

... Sample-and-hold circuits are a composite of op amps, switches and capacitors that require a nontrivial amount of system volume, if they are built discretely. Most modern microcontrollers have sample-and-hold amplifiers integrated with their A/D converters, which obviate discrete sample-and-holds. A ...

Dither

Dither is an intentionally applied form of noise used to randomize quantization error, preventing large-scale patterns such as color banding in images. Dither is routinely used in processing of both digital audio and video data, and is often one of the last stages of ""mastering"" audio to a CD.A typical use of dither is converting a greyscale image to black and white, such that the density of black dots in the new image approximates the average grey level in the original.
