Hemilanthanidocene for the polymerization of styrene : from

... Rare earth half-sandwich complexes are known as highly versatile polymerization precatalysts or catalysts. A Cp*La[CH(SiMe3)2]2 (Cp* = C5Me5) half-lanthanocene was reported for the polymerization of various polar and non-polar monomers in a controlled fashion [1]. Cationic systems based on a (C5Me4S ...

... Both molecular and saline hydrides are quite reactive. Group 1 and 2 hydrides react vigorously with water to produce hydrogen gas and a metal hydroxide. ... The water solubilities of the sulfates increase in the order Ra < Ba < Sr < Ca < Mg. The trend in this series is clearly in the sense of smaller ionic radius favoring greater solubility. ... The chemistry of higher-coordinated – sometimes also called hypercoordinated and/or hypervalent silicon compounds – has been reviewed in several publications in the past. Coordination complex

In chemistry, a coordination complex or metal complex consists of a central atom or ion, which is usually metallic and is called the coordination centre, and a surrounding array of bound molecules or ions, that are in turn known as ligands or complexing agents. Many metal-containing compounds, especially those of transition metals, are coordination complexes.
