What is reproduction?
 A process by which plants and animals
produce more of their own kind
 Why do we reproduce?

What is extinction?
 Extinction occurs when the death rate is greater
than the reproduction rate and results in the
species no longer existing.
 Write down as many species you can think of that
are extinct. Do you know the cause?

What is asexual reproduction?
 Where one or more offspring are produced from
one parent only

Asexual reproduction includes binary fission,
spores, budding, regeneration and vegetative
reproduction
