Overview
Vicomsoft INTERGATE is a high performance software

3. RAPIDCACHE High Performance Web Cache Engine
RAPIDCACHE stores a copy of HTTP Internet traffic on your
local network. Any subsequent request for the same web
page will be delivered from this local cache, vastly increasing
download speeds and reducing the load on your Internet
connection.
4. SPAMBOLT Anti-SPAM and Email Policy Enforcement
1. Core Router, Firewall and Network Management
Protects an internal network from the threat of intrusion by
adding advanced firewall protection. Network management
is simplified by the inclusion of a sophisticated DHCP and
internal DNS server, providing centralized control over
internal IP resources.
Complex internal and Wide Area Network topologies can be
managed using INTERGATE as the central router, eliminating
the need for complicated hardware routers. With full
support for NAT (Network Address Translation), INTERGATE
also provides the ability to use a single Internet connection
across the whole network.
Connection teaming and fallback allow the use of multiple
Internet connections to provide additional bandwidth, or to
provide redundancy in case of a connection failure.
2. SURFMASTER Advanced Internet Content Filtering
While the Internet has become an indispensible resource for
both education and business users, controlling who can do
what on the Internet can be a significant headache.
The SURFMASTER Internet Content Filtering module allows
complete control over who can see what, and when they can
see it. Filters can be set for:
User defined - block specific sites, or only allow access to
specific sites.
Protocol filters - block specific types of traffic such as FTP,
IRC, POP3, HTTP etc.
Time controls - decide what times of the day Internet access
is allowed, and for how long.

The SPAMBOLT module provides network wide relief from
unsolicited bulk email. Fully configurable, SPAMBOLT will
seamlessly monitor all SMTP and POP3 email traffic,
marking or even transparently deleting unwanted email.
The email policy enforcement rules allow an administrator
to control the content of both inbound and outbound emails,
adding company banners and stripping off unauthorized
email attachments where necessary.
5. SUPERINTENDENT Internet Usage Reporting
SUPERINTENDENT provides full logging of Internet usage,
with a reporting engine to provide full, drillable reports.
Information reported is fully detailed, allowing auditing of
Internet usage and policy breaches.
High Performance
INTERGATE, running on standard operating systems such
as Mac OS X, easily outperforms the majority of hardware
devices in a similar price range. With the ability to control
Internet connections up to and exceeding 60Mbps (40 x
faster than a standard US T1 leased line), INTERGATE can
combine multiple Internet connections for added performance
and resilience. Remote management capabilities allow the
majority of these powerful features to be controlled from a
central location.
