Neill Epperson, MD Dr. Epperson is Director of the Penn Center for Women’s Behavioral Wellness where she is also CoDirector of the new Penn Center for the Study of Sex and Gender in Affective Disorders at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Epperson leads a team of clinicians and researchers who focus on the assessment, causes and treatment of cognitive and mood disorders across the female life span. Dr. Epperson is a member of the American College of Psychiatrists and the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology. Her research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health Office of Research on Women’s Health, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the National Institute of Mental Health, and the National Institute on Aging. The overarching goal of Dr. Epperson’s research is to determine the impact of women’s hormones and stress on brain structure and function as it relates to affective and cognitive disorders, which occur more frequently in women. Dr. Epperson’s program at Penn has been named by MORE Magazine as the best place in the United States for the treatment of depression in women over 40. Shari Lusskin, MD Dr. Lusskin is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She founded the Reproductive Psychiatry Program at the NYU School of Medicine where she was on the faculty from 1993-2012. She is the Director of Psychopharmacologic Agents for the Reproductive Toxicology Center, a Non-Profit Foundation and has served as a reviewer for a number of scientific journals. She has lectured around the world on topics in Women’s Mental Health to both professional and lay audiences and serves as a member of the President’s Advisory Council of Postpartum Support International.
