The Borri 7000 is an advanced solution of
on-line double conversion UPS. As usual with
this topology, it guarantees superior
protection performances for critical loads in
the worst conditions of mains, like changes
in frequency or voltage instability and
distortion.
Unlike conventional double conversion
systems, the Borri 7000 utilizes state-of-the-art
high frequency IGBT techniques. This reduces
considerably the size and weight of the system
and provides higher efficiency that can offer
considerable savings over conventional UPS
technologies.

Advanced Communications
The Borri 7000 is so simple to use and
offers a variety of communications
protocol. Whether you communicate via
the console, network, SNMP, relays or even
the modem board, the Borri 7000 becomes
an integral part of your network.
CheckUPS Plus Software
The Borri 7000 is supplied with the
CheckUPS Plus software suite. The
CheckUPS monitoring and shutdown
software allows full remote monitoring
either by a simple flow diagram or detailed
meter readings of all major parameters.

Input Performances
Easy to Position, Install and Service
Due to the diode/IGBT input stage, the input power factor
is close to unity; that means an input current reduction
and no notch on the input mains. Moreover it accepts a
very wide input frequency variation without switching to
battery.
The Borri 7000 has reduced dimensions and locked castors
so the system is simply wheeled into place and connected.
The Borri 7000 only requires access from the front, making
service and upgrading simple. The extractable steel trays
and the fasten-on connectors make the batteries extremely
easy to move for mounting and replacement.
Pulse Impedance Battery Test
Unlike its competitors, the Borri 7000 battery test is carried
out during normal operations and it is not required to run
the system on battery. The improved accuracy of battery
performance measurement allows users to know the
condition well in advance and to plan the battery
maintenance with minimum disruption.
Small Footprint and Long Autonomy Time
The Borri 7000 is carried out with a new concept in UPS
design and ergonomics. Using a high frequency technology,
it is extremely compact with the smaller footprint reducing
significantly the needed floor space, even though it hosts
internal batteries for long autonomy time.
Tailor Made to Your Requirements
The Borri 7000 has many more features and benefits as
standard than any other system in its class. We know that
customers have different needs and therefore offer an
extensive range of additional options that include:
• Extension battery cubicles to give several
hours autonomy
• Matching cubicles for switchgear (custom)
• 12 pulse rectifier to reduce input harmonics to less than
10% (<5% with additional filter)
• Output isolation transformers
• External maintenance bypass switch
• SNMP adapter
• Remote communication

Communication and Connectivity
Relay Interface Boards
The entire operation depends on computer grade power to
your data, process and telecommunication systems. The Borri
7000 has such advanced communication features that allows
to either monitor the status locally or remotely over a wide
area network.
Volt-free contacts are available to communicate with your
building management system, process control or many other
computing protocols including AS/400.
The Borri 7000 Panel
The operation and interrogation of the Borri 7000 is stateof-the-art. All major parameters may be monitored via the
front console and all events that affect the user are
communicated in plain language.
The Bestdock Connection Options
The Borri 7000 is supplied with two Bestdock slots giving,
with SPNL/SER serial extension, multiple communication
options to suit your interface requirements. These include:
- PC Monitoring and Shutdown
- SNMP Monitoring and Shutdown
External SNMP Adapter
Checkups Plus Software
The Borri 7000 is supplied with the CheckUPS Plus software.
This enables users to monitor and control the Borri 7000 via
an RS232 connection and Volt-free contacts.
It has revolutionized UPS connectivity, making it simple and
manageable. With the external SNMP adapter your Borri
7000 may be monitored and controlled over LAN or WAN
with SNMP or a web browser. In addition, use of optional
client shutdown software allows controlled shutdown of
different platforms servers and network stations.
