These programs would work alongside the existing large adult-centered programs in both arenas and faculty would be incorporated into their multicenter care and research networks. Faculty would also have opportunities and support for developing pediatric-specific research in these fields. There will be dedicated hospital support for each of these efforts. In addition to developing the programs, this clinician will assist the other division faculty in coverage of the inpatient consult service, outpatient clinic coverage, and assistance with fellow, resident, and medical student education. Qualified candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent, be board-certified or board-eligible in pediatric infectious diseases, and have experience with hospital infection prevention, hospital epidemiology, and antimicrobial stewardship. Salary and level of appointment will be commensurate with experience. Start date is negotiable, but approximately July 1, 2017. Interested candidates please send a cover letter describing your experiences and what you would like to build along with a CV to the Division Chief, William J. Steinbach, MD at bill.steinbach@duke.edu.
