There are a total of 8 major planets in our solar system. There used
to be 9 planets, but scientists decided that Pluto was too small to be
considered a planet. The 8 planets in the solar system are:
1. Mercury– the closest planet to the sun.
2. Venus
– has more volcanoes than any
other planet.
3.Earth
– is the only planet people have
walked on.
4.Mars
– has two small moons called Phobos
and Deimos.
5. Jupiter – is the largest planet and has a
great red spot which is a wind
storm.
6. Saturn – is surrounded by bright rings.
7. Uranus – is the coldest planet in our solar
system.
8.Neptune– is the stormiest planet.
