Sep. 97 - Present Computer Science Department, New York University. Ph.D. Program in Computer Science. Sep. 93 - Jan. 96 Shanghai JiaoTong University. M.S. Institute of Image Processing and Pattern Recognition. Sep. 89 - Jul. 93 XiAn JiaoTong University. B.S. in Mathematics. Network design and management, Parallel and distributed System. Programming Language and Compiler design. May. 98 - Aug. 98: Thaumaturgix. Inc. Summer Internship. Develop an online project tracking system using Java. In this system, project manager can manage the project database, divide the project into tasks, allocate tasks to employees and track the progress of the project. On the other hand, the employee can fill in the time entry for each authorized task online. Apr. 96 - Jul. 97: Information Center of Agricultural Bank of China, Software Engineer, Developed ATM transaction system on the platform of MVS/VSE using COBOL and C. Participated in the project "National Transaction System of Credit Card and Saving Card". That system uses NCP protocol to connect IBM mainframe, RS/6000 and Unix workstation of different branches all over the country. Sep. 95 - Jan. 96: Institute of Image Processing and Pattern Recognition. Work on the Project "Feature extraction and restoration from the facial image of the human being". The system extracts the feature point from a standard facial image automatically and establishes a database of feature vectors. When given a slant facial image, the system can extract and restore the feature vectors and match the right one in the database. Mar. 95 - Aug. 95: Institute of Image Processing and Pattern Recognition. Work on several projects of computer 3D animation, all projects are done on the platform of SGI Workstation and use C and OPEN GL library. Implement a parallel application for surface subdivision and multi-resolution using C++. Given an initial coarse mesh representation of the surface, the application creates some concurrent threads to refine and optimize the surface parallely. Implement a Client/Server application based on TCP using Java, The clients can cooperate to draw on a canvas, and the server broadcasts the update information to all the clients, so all the clients can see the updated information on their own canvas. Implement a partly functional HTTP/1.1 server using Java, it support the concurrent, persistent connection with the client, and can process HTTP request of the client. Design a compiler for Tasskaf, which is a subset of Java but includes all the object oriented feature of Java, The project is done with Eli system. All stages of lexical, syntax, semantics analysis and code generation are implemented. Implement an ML interpreter with ML itself, which can do all type analysis and evaluation. Platforms: Unix (Linux/Solaris), Windows Series, DOS, MVS/VSE. Programming Languages: Java, C/C++, Perl, Sml, Scheme, Lisp, Ada, Prolog, Fortran, Cobol, and Pascal. Internet: TCP/IP programming, CGI, Java/JavaScript. GUI: Java, Windows MFC, X-Windows, OPEN-GL. Strong Background in mathematics. The feature extraction and restoration from the facial image. Shanghai JiaoTong University Journal, May, 1997 Graduate Teaching Assistantship, NYU, Sep. 1997 - Present. National Excellence Scholarship, SJTU, Jan. 1996. Siemens Scholarship, First Class, SJTU, Oct. 1996.
