THERE ARE THREE DIFFERENT TYPES OF ROCKS . IGNEOUS ,METAMORPHIC ,
SEDIMENTRY. I WILL TELL YOU INFORMATION ABOUT THEM.

THE IGNEOUS ROCK
• The igneous rock can be found in
different colours. The igneous rock is
formed when magma cools and
solidifies, it may do this above or
below the earth’s surface.
THE METAMORPHIC ROCK
•
The metamorphic rock can be found in hot places and
has a patteren on it . A Metamorphic rock is a result
of a transformation of a pre-existing rock. The original
rock is subjected to very high heat and pressure ,
which cause obvious physical and/or changes.
Examples of this rock types include marble, slate,
gneiss and schist.

can be made into special

like any other rock. It can
be made into necklaces
,phone cases and even
made into it’s own gem!!!
SEDIMENTRY ROCK
• Sedimentary rocks are types of rock that are formed by the deposition and subsequent
cementation of that material at the Earth’s surface and within bodies of water.
Sedimentation is the collective name for processes that cause mineral or/and organic
particles ( detritus ) to settle in place. A sedimentary rock can be turned into a crystal or
jewellery.
