Sudden Cardiac Death in the Young
Sudden Cardiac Death in the Young

... Registry which was set up in 2009 will document the cause of sudden cardiac death in young people aged 15-35 years in Ireland through expert panel review and analysis of post-mortem reports. The current report deals with the years 2005-2007 inclusive. This data has been collected with the co-operati ...

Cardiac surgery

Cardiovascular (heart) surgery is surgery on the heart or great vessels performed by cardiac surgeons. Frequently, it is done to treat complications of ischemic heart disease (for example, coronary artery bypass grafting), correct congenital heart disease, or treat valvular heart disease from various causes including endocarditis, rheumatic heart disease and atherosclerosis. It also includes heart transplantation.
