Effect of Combined Sympathetic and Vagal Stimulation on Heart

... the rate of change of the number of vesicles, N, with respect to time, depends on two terms. The rate of regeneration of vesicles is proportional (K7) to the difference between the number (N) existing at that time and the maximum number (Nm) when no stimulus has been present for some time. The rate ...

Physiological Sensing of Emotion Jennifer Healey Abstract

... emotion is both cognitive and physiological in his “two-factor” theory of emotion (Schachter, 1964). In his experiments, Schachter attempted to artificially creating the physical “state” of an emotion in absence of an actual emotional prime by injecting subjects with epinephrine. He then sought to d ...

Cardiac surgery

Cardiovascular (heart) surgery is surgery on the heart or great vessels performed by cardiac surgeons. It also includes heart transplantation.
