... Parallel Circuit A parallel circuit is one that has two or more paths for the electricity to flow – similar to a fork in a river In other words, the loads are parallel to each other. If the loads in this circuit were light bulbs and one blew out, current would still flow to the others. Circuit comp ...

... sense amplifier, such as the LTC6102, is required to accurately resolve the small voltage drop riding on the high common mode voltage. Typically the signal current produced by the current sense amp is converted via a grounded resistor to a properly scaled voltage, which, in this case, can be measure ...

... An exponential decay is found in many every day situations. For example, the temperature of a pot of hot water will decay when it is removed from the burner of a stove – the decay is exponential. Here are some other examples. The sound level of a guitar string decays exponentially after being struck ...

... Challenge Question Q: If power lines have high voltages and are so dangerous, why don’t birds get electrocuted when they land on the lines? A: In order for the current to flow through the bird, their needs to be a potential difference. When both feet are on the same line there is no potential diffe ...

Current source

A current source is an electronic circuit that delivers or absorbs an electric current which is independent of the voltage across it.A current source is the dual of a voltage source. The term constant-current 'sink' is sometimes used for sources fed from a negative voltage supply. Figure 1 shows the schematic symbol for an ideal current source, driving a resistor load. There are two types - an independent current source (or sink) delivers a constant current. A dependent current source delivers a current which is proportional to some other voltage or current in the circuit.
