... of their ohmic channels, JFET’s and UJT’s operate very differently and should not be confused. So how does it work? We can see from the equivalent circuit above, that the N-type channel basically consists of two resistors RB2 and RB1 in series with an equivalent (ideal) diode, D representing the p-n ...

If a semi-conductor is doped with a 5 valance electron atom such as Sb or As, the extra electron is forced to fill an empty band. It becomes free to move and leaves behind a fixed positive atom. This type of conduct ...

Introduction The thermoelectricity was discovered in 1821 by Thomas Seebeck where a continuously flowing current was created when two wires of different materials were joined together and heated at one end. Current source

A current source is an electronic circuit that delivers or absorbs an electric current which is independent of the voltage across it.A current source is the dual of a voltage source. The term constant-current 'sink' is sometimes used for sources fed from a negative voltage supply. Figure 1 shows the schematic symbol for an ideal current source, driving a resistor load. There are two types - an independent current source (or sink) delivers a constant current. A dependent current source delivers a current which is proportional to some other voltage or current in the circuit.
